Civic Leader Education & Advocacy Program (CLEAP) participants arrived in Mexico City on Monday, July 3 to start their 5-day leadership and education program.
On the agenda for Monday, July 3:
Welcome dinner with keynote speaker, Rep. Elizabeth Velasco. Rep. Velasco is the first Mexican-born state lawmaker to be elected in Colorado and the first Latina to be elected to the legislature from the Western Slope. Participants were also greeted with mariachi as they settled in to start their program.
