Civic Leader Education & Advocacy Program (CLEAP) participants arrived in Mexico City on Tuesday, May 28 to start their 7-day leadership program. It’s an exciting day for so many of the participants who had not visited their home country of Mexico in years!
Tuesday, May 28 recap:
After long flights and extensive travel to get to the heart of Mexico City, participants were greeted with live mariachi music as they settled in to start their program. There was no rain in the forecast, so participants were able to enjoy a fantastic view of the Zona Rosa and beyond from the hotel rooftop! Participants also received individual hand-painted wooden hearts by Oaxacan artist Gabriela Fabian Matias as a welcome gift.
We have an exciting and informative week ahead of us with a full agenda, so be sure to check back often to follow along on our blog!
